Japanese Maple-inspired Autumn Dining...

Welcome to my contribution to Tablescape Thursday!!  Thanks to Susan for hosting this incredible event.

You will notice a lot of the same pieces used over and over again in different combinations. I learned from my mother that it's better to have a few "good" things than a lot of "not so good" things. Now-- that's not to say she does not have a lot of dishes, it's just that they are all "good" dishes! I inherited that love from her, I just don't have as many yet!!  I try to change things up with different fabrics and accessories.

This week I'm using my Italian Countryside again, but I made a new runner out of more fabulous fabric from a local store. My inspiration was the fabric then I brought out the warm autumn colors with leaves from my mom's Japanese Maple. Hope you like it...

This arrangement is Japanese Maple leaves, Forsythia and dogwood branches.

Thanks for coming by! I hope you are inspired to use things you have around you inside and outside!

Italian Countryside dinnerware
Wallace "Louvre" sterling flatware
Napkins, chargers and leaf salad plates from Walmart
Amber glassware from Pier 1 Imports
Red glassware from World Market
Candlesticks from the "Slow Lane"
Hull "Brown Drip" pitcher
Napkin rings from Bed, Bath and Beyond
Beaded candle holders from Pier 1

  10. Anita, this is just about the prettiest autumn tablescape I've seen yet! Your dishes & accessories harmonize beautifully & I like the new tapestry runner you made to tie in the colors so well.
I have a brown jug, similar to yours, but not a Hull, that I could have used with branches if I thought outside the box like that. :/
Thanks for sharing your ideas & all your pretties for those of us who are waaaay less creative.

Oh ....I ♥ your Wallace "Louvre" sterling flatware!!!!! Outstanding!

    fondly,
