Mother's Noritake Chandova...

Hi everyone! I wanted to share a few photos of the table my mom did for Easter with the Noritake "Chandova."  As we came from church I remembered I needed to take some photos, so I grabbed my dad's camera and tried to take some without my glasses. It's a wonder they turned out at all!!  I'll be joining Susan at "Between Naps on the Porch" for "Tablescape Thursday" so be sure to go there and look at the beautiful tables:-)

This pattern was discontinued in 1921, so it is old but in pristine condition. It looks as if it was never used. My mom inherited it from a lovely Southern relative.  She has about every piece of this that was made and it is gorgeous!

She used vintage Irish linen placemats and napkins...

The silverplate flatware is "Meadowbrook" by Oneida and also from the 1920s.  I'll be borrowing this for my Franciscan "Ivy" table coming soon:-) We realized that the butter knives were not out, but I had already taken the photos, and we were hungry!!

I just love this elegant and delicate pattern with the beautiful green and yellow...

I love how she layered the white lace tablecloth over the delicate, pale yellow...

I hope you enjoyed my mother's Noritake "Chandova" table!  I might have the Franciscan "Ivy" ready for next week, or maybe the Noritake "Condoro" or something totally different! Thanks for stopping by! Please come again...I'll be here:-)

Anita

Anita, This is a beautiful table! I love the lacy white and the soft yellow of the placemats and napkins. Yellow and white is a fabulous combo (my fav. color is yellow).I see your mom has a floragold pitcher. I collect floragold. The centerpiece of yellow flowers looks so sunny and springy and really looks perfect with all the other yellow touches. I bet you had a wonderful time!

I love this tablescape. It's full of history and memories. Just think about all the great meals the dishes, silverware and linens have been shared on.

I love those candle holders too.

    Very pretty.
