Girls' Tea with the Hazel Atlas "Ripple" Pink

It's time for tea at the little cottage in the woods! The girls and I "took" tea every day last week. What fun, and work, it was but worth every minute! We are sharing our pink table for "Tablescape Thursday" at "Between Naps on the Porch."

I had some help from my sweeties.

Miranda wanted to take photos.

Evelyn just wanted to eat.

We used Aunt Jody's Hydrangeas again and beautiful linens made of fabric from a local store.

We decided to use the Wallace "Louvre" sterling forks and teaspoons, but chose the "Landers/Frary/Clark" sterling and mother of pearl antique knives.

The plates are Hazel Atlas "Ripple" pink. I inherited these from my maternal great-great uncle, and some from my paternal great grandmother.

Oh no it looks like little brother wanted to get in on the action. Looks like my little Sheriff has eaten all the evidence!

Back to our table...beautiful pink for two beautiful girls:-)

Thanks for stopping by!!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you are inspired to take a little bit of time and take tea with someone you love. That's what life is all about:-)

Anita

  1. Oh Anita... I'm smiling ear to ear!
How cute are these children! {Two girls and a boy... just like my family only mine are grown and "mostly" gone :o)

This is so pretty... A+ on a beautiful tablescape for tea! I love everything about it...
    the flowers
    the linens
    and
The dishes are such a treasure.

I wish I lived next door... I'd definitely want to have the lovely experience of "tea on the porch."

I see your new pillows are weathering the summer gracefully!

Thank you for all your sweet comments, Anita!
Wishing you a lovely weekend~ Maria

    ps. for my scones...
I would have LOVED to purchase the scone pan at KA Flour Store... but it was $34. Instead, I make an 8-9" circle and score it into 8 sections... separating them slightly with the knife. This helps them cook in between.
    *so yummy with tea*

Anita, I was not familiar with the Hazel Atlas...now I'm on the search to see what's 'out there.' I love that you are passing down an appreciation for entertaining to your two precious daughters. It is so important, and it is our responsibility to instill a love of setting special tables to honor others. This was indeed a special table. Please, thank your girls for sharing their charming design. Cherry Kay

Oh, what a darling table, but more than that, your kids are just precious! Both the girls and the "Sherrif"! ;-)

Love the pink dishes, cute napkins, floral napkin rings, flatware (I'm wild over both patterns), and that table cloth!

I think this might be one of my favorites you've done, Anita. And do you know that I gave Claudie two of those pink cups as one of the many things I found for her birthday? I love the color!

    XO,

    Sheila :-)

I love your silver too. I got on ebay and was looking at silver. I have a set of sterling but would now like one for my daughters (if they wanted) I love the combination of the silver with the knives. Great job.
