Fall in the Smokies...

I thought I would share a few photos from our drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway here in Balsam, NC.  This is literally our back yard, so we enjoy it as much as possible! These are iphone photos but I think you can still enjoy the grandeur of the mountains!!

A photo cannot capture the feeling one gets from experiencing this in person! This is God's creation at its best:-)

Have a great weekend!!

Anita

    Anita,
Your photos are stunning. I grew up in KY and my father took us here often on vacation at peak fall color. It was just gorgeous and looks as if it still is! Thanks for sharing!

One of the moments where I just am awe struck by the grandeur of God's creation...and struck dumb that anyone could doubt His existence. Thank you for sharing the fiery glory of this magnificent Autumn display. Cherry Kay

  9. So beautiful! The leaves were really just starting to change when we drove through two weeks ago. Now they are glorious As Jemma said one day in the car looking at the sunset, "Isn't God the bestest artist ever!" Amen to that!

  10. *Gasp* Isn't God's handiwork fabulous??? What a perfect way to start off my Sunday, Anita!

I once drove through the Blue Ridge mountains early in the morning, on my way to FL. I saw the sun rise over that majestic vista & will never forget it. "the grandeur of God's creation" indeed!

Beautiful! The second photo was awesome. We were up that way in August and wanted to come back this fall to see the fall colors, but we weren't able to. :(
