Celebrate 200 years of Pfaltzgraff and win!!

I am so excited to help celebrate 200 years of Pfaltzgraff by giving away 8 place settings of Pfaltzgraff "Heritage" to one of my followers!!

I envisioned a primitive table with lots of pewter for that early American look, but I have no pewter pieces! So I remembered the 1997 issue of Country Living that inspired my dining table...

...and found an add for none other than...Pfaltzgraff Heritage!! At that point, I knew it was meant to be!

Here is the inspiration table from Country Living, November  1997...

...and my version...

I grew these orange pumpkins, and thought the brown and white combo would be nice with the orange accent.

I used Imperial Glass "Old Williamsburg" amber goblets and Mikasa "Italian Countryside" flatware.

Napkins were purchased at Marshalls several years ago and you all should recognize the napkin rings from BBB.

These dinner plates are on the smaller side, which I actually love. At 10 1/4, it is the perfect size for the portions we should all be eating, plus you could always use a larger dinner plate as a charger, which opens up a lot of options.

The salad plate is more of a dessert plate size at 6 7/8, but the bowl would work well for salad or soup. They do sell a luncheon plate that would be perfect for salad, and these pieces are really affordable.

Everyone needs a set of white or cream, and this is a lovely set to use alone or to mix and match.

I know, you want to get down to the details!!

To be entered in the giveaway there are several options:

1. Follow Far Above Rubies for one entry

2. "Like" the Pfaltzgraff Facebook page HERE for one entry

3. Post a tablesetting tip on the Pfaltzgraff Facebook page for one entry

4. Blog about the giveaway, or post it on your sidebar for one entry

Please stop back by here and let me which of the above things you have done so I can enter that in the drawing. You can leave one comment letting me know which of the above you do. The deadline for entries is Wednesday, Oct. 26 at midnight EST so don't wait!

Be sure to visit Pfaltzgraff HERE to see more of the beautiful "Heritage" dinnerware.

Thanks so much for stopping by and for entering the giveaway!! I know the lucky winner will enjoy this dinnerware so much, and I look forward to seeing a fabulous tablescape!

I'l be linking up to Tablescape Thursday at BNOTP.

Anita

A winner will be selected randomly from all the entrants.
The Pfaltzgraff Heritage was provided by Lifetime Brands, and the opinions expressed here are entirely my own.

  42. Hi, Anita. No pewter needed. You hit it without it! Your unique version of the Country Living table works beautifully! The different sizes of pumpkins and those with variegated colors look great! I like their version, too, but it's a little more stripped down than yours. Your stemware brings out the richness of the tabletop better, too. I am a follower and would like to be entered in the giveaway. What a great package!!! Thanks for the opportunity, and have a great week!

  46. Anita, what a simply stunning table! I love that you grew your own pumpkins, and that Country Living photo IS inspirational. Very simple and elegant, and I'm thinking I might just visit the church's pumpkin patch and buy a lot of little pumpkins to march down the center of my table! I am a follower and am on my way to the Pfaltzgraff page on Facebook. Great giveaway!

  47. Well, first of all I love your table so much. I think you did better than the inspiration! I also love the fact that those dinner plates are slightly smaller. I happen to be looking for smaller dinner plates. That's one reason that I love vintage ones. They are an appropriate size.

Second, I'm a greedy Gus who would love those dishes so this follower is throwing herself into the pot with a wish, prayer, and some extra options to boot.
