Hi Anita,
ReplyDelete
Due to a medical issue, we didn't make the trip up on Saturday as planned. We will be leaving tomorrow and hopefully arrive tomorrow night. Our island is very much the shape of yours, but it comfortably holds six and it seems like everyone can see each other better than a rectangular islands. We had the stove/ovens put in the island, along with a prep sink. Email if you and your husband would like to come see it. We love how it turned out.

Your kitchen looks really pretty for spring. I love the re-claimed wood counter tops and the screened pantry door. The soft colours are very pleasing. Have a wonderful week!

The dreaded breakfast bar brackets!!! I got complaints about those, too, Finally just had to have them removed to keep from arguing about it. Wish I could get them back. They looked really good.

There is a noticeable difference between what you had before and the current counter top. You've made it look much nicer. Funny how little changes can have such a big impact.
Your kitchen is beautiful, and I just love that ceiling! !!!!!!!! -

It's all absolutely perfect Anita! You have made it into your dream and having your loved ones all around able to enjoy it is what makes that dream a perfect one. I especially love the center island, the heart of the kitchen. I can see all of you gathering around, spending time together, laughing and talking about the day....just perfect!

It's really beautiful! Your eye for color, mixing and matching the cabinetry is amazing. I love the open shelves too that are next to the sink. I also really like that you feel ok about the black appliances and are resisting the "must" of stainless steel. I am a black appliance girl, keeping grungy fingerprints off stainless steel drives me nuts! Visiting from A Stroll Thru Life . . . have an awesome week :)
