Greeting each morning...

One of my favorite spots in the early morning is the porch on the side of our house because it faces our creek.

It is such a lovely place for that first cup of coffee.

And a prayer of thankfulness to start the day.

Because I do feel incredibly blessed to wake up in these beautiful mountains every morning...

...thankful to be greeted by this...

...and this:-)

I am so very thankful. What are you thankful for?

That is such a beautiful place you live on. I am not sure I would want to go anywhere else, but to enjoy the surroundings.

  3. You have such a beautiful spot there Anita. The rushing brook must sound wonderful when it's full and flowing and to sit on your porch in all that beauty is a real blessing. We have just completed a new deck and pergola where I will be able to enjoy my morning tea, and possibly breakfast, lunch and supper when the weather permits. I'm looking forward to summer. Blessings, Pam

Anita, I'm new to your blog so first let me say I love your taste level and color and font choices! That said, this post is quite lovely. I love these relaxing little corners that look like a delightful place to spend the afternoon. I always love the mix of a little glint, from the teapot, against the chippy feel of the garden bench - the perfect blend of glam and nature. Throw in a little pink and the cheery flowers and the picture is perfect.

Oh, wow...so, so pretty! That's the way to start each and every day: beauty & grace all around you and a shout out to the good Lord for making it all possible. I think sometimes we forget the latter. Without Him, none of the beauty around us would be possible. And we should be super grateful for the beauty we're able to enjoy because there are so many people in the world (even right here in the U.S.!) who do not have that privilege. And indeed it is a privilege!

I am thankful for the air in my lungs, functioning brain waves, relatively good health, a wonderful husband, a loving son, parents who couldn't have loved and cared for me more if they tried, friends who are really good people through and through, and last but certainly not least, the God who saw fit to gift me with all of it!

  13. Your view is lovely as is your special bench and table where you express your thanks to your creator and enjoy a cup of coffee. I hear the brook flowing down the rocks and the birds singing.

I am thankful that the maker of the heaven and earth is always with me and that He knows all about me and gave Himself for me. I am truly blessed with a wonderful family, a Godly heritage and a country founded on, In God we trust.

I love nothing more than starting the day outdoors with the fresh air and sun. And I know, my friend, that the beautiful mountains that surround you are heaven on earth! Hope to meet you there soon!

That is a beautiful spot to wake up to! Having recently left a home with a pond view, I don't have that visual beauty to wake to any longer, but I am sure I will find something equally beautiful to be grateful for as I settle in.
