We love our porches here in the mountains, and we certainly put ours to good use during the summer. I showed you all the front porch last week, so I thought we would go around and see the back porch today.
I always anticipate getting the porches ready for summer, despite the amount of work it is, and after a week of hard work pressure washing, re-staining decking, painting railings, and moving and repainting furniture -- then getting everything back in place, I am happy to say the porches are cleaned, styled and ready for our family to enjoy.
I shared some of the outside blooms last week, so I thought I'd share what's "blooming" inside the house.
I stripped everything back to lots of white after Christmas with a few hot pink accents, and the bright color really grew on me, so I kept adding more and more.
I have to admit there are many times in the spring I look around and see only the *huge* amount of work that has to be done to get the house and property back in shape here. Then I am reminded of how thankful I am to live in such a magical place, and that's when I stop and take notice of all those beautiful things that are right under my nose:-)
