Pearl Harbor...

Hi all! I was so disappointed to not see anything in the news media today about the anniversary of the attacks on Pearl Harbor. I think it is SO important for us to remember that freedom is not free and that a great generation of people gave up just about everything they had not only to free Europeans and Asians  from the tyranny of the Nazis, but to keep us free here. Why? So we can enjoy these everyday, insignificant pleasures that we take for granted without looking over our shoulders.

My grandfather, a WWII vet who went ashore at Normandy on DDay told me several years ago that it saddened him to see people forget. I always told him I would not forget nor would I let my children forget. Please take a moment to remember. Remember their sacrifices because they were many. Not only did the men and women in the services endure extreme conditions and hardships, the people left at home also suffered and gave much. Please remember. Freedom is not a right, but a privilege that is not free and requires great responsibility. Please remember...

In memory of F. W. Chandler

  1. Thank you. This is the second time today I have seen it mentioned, and I have been reading blogs most of the day!
