I added a heavy, paisley runner with shades of rust, red, and gold. I replaced the decanter set with my silver tea/coffee service.
I filled a vintage sterling compote with potpourri to add some warmth to the silver...
These vintage tea cups are part of a set my grandmother gave me from China. I love how the colors are so nice and warm for fall...
Naturally, I brought some weeds in from outdoors! I used hydrangeas, astilbe, golden rod and tree branches then supplemented with a few preserved leaves and faux foliage to fill in.
Summer turns into...
...Autumn
I am using a lot of warm/cool this season as I have found I love the combination of silver with the warm, fall colors. That is a big hint for what is coming the next few tablescapes:-)
I'll be joining Marty's "Tabletop Tuesday" over at "A Stroll Through Life" so be sure to go by there and visit her and her lovely participants.
See you Thursday...

OH Anita, you can do so any pretty things with that piece....I do like the silver. And what a pretty arrangement you made. Happy Fall!!~
ReplyDeleteLove the transformation! Just gorgeous! :)
ReplyDeleteDear Anita, it all looks really lovely. I do like dark furniture, they tend to look like antique, even when they're not, lol. Please, don't mention frost :o(
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day
Hugs
Oh, Anita, this is gorgeous! It ALMOST makes me want to go polish the silver coffee and tea service! The runner is a perfect base for the silver and warm colors you've used.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing coffee/tea service. I love those pieces. You buffet turned out wonderful
ReplyDeleteHi Anita! Oh, your autumn buffet looks so beautiful! I love all of your changes! Now if I lived a little closer maybe you'd invite me over too! :)
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Hi Anita! Your photos always have this kind of "glow" around them that really makes it such a treat to look at! I can't believe how similar our silver tea sets are and I love that you added that compote with the potpourri. It gives it such a fresh new look! I also love that you mixed that tea set with so many other great tones and textures so that it looks much more interesting than if it were just on its own. Your "weedy" arrangement is fabulous too! :-)
ReplyDeleteWish I were coming for tea!
Vanessa
How do you just make everything better and better? That is stunning! I love the silver with the warm touches. You have the touch!
ReplyDeleteYour buffet is absolutely stunning. I love the lushness of the fall items. The silver looks beautiful with the warm tones. I'm a weed lover myself ;). Blessings, Kim
ReplyDeleteI think it's all absolutely beautiful! I can't believe that arrangement is just stuff you picked from outside. Yours looks lovely. I'm convinced that if I tried to do that, it would look like a pot of dried up flowers.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part is the little stack of tea cups. You're right that they are perfect for a fall setting!
Hi Anita! I love what you've done to "autumn-ize" your buffet. It is beautiful! Of course, it looked beautiful in it's summer attire, too. But, autumn colors and textures are my favs!! The buffet itself is a gorgeous piece of furniture. Is there a story behind it?
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Teri
Very lovely! I like the combo of silver with the warm fall colours too!

Hi Anita!
ReplyDeleteI think it all looks so elegant and sophisticated, your tea set is beautiful, as well. Your buffet, the arrangement look perfect! It has all the fall colors! At least you have your frend to sit down and have tea, I miss all of that.

Hi Anita!
ReplyDeleteHappy Autumn!
I always finish my day with a cuppa tea... perfect timing to visit your "tea party."
I was just thinking of you ~ visiting Mikasa on facebook and then over to their site to see the Brava Rooster plates on sale!
I thought your tablescape using Brava Rooster ~ it was fabulous...
Mikasa has a lot of patterns on sale, including Brava Rooster! I'm so tempted~
We used to have a Mikasa store here in the captial region...I miss them! There is one near my daughter, Amanda. Looks like I need to make that part of an upcoming visit!
Wishing you a lovely week ~ Blessings always*
