This week I am staying with a little cooler palette for fall but this time I'm keeping the paisley and you're getting the shiny, cool, flatware! But first...take a look!
We are outside on the porch this beautiful fall day, and the table is set for two.
I am using my creamy Mikasa "Italian Countryside" dinnerware, which I have accented with a green leaf plate.
I used a large piece of matelasse fabric draped over this end of the table. I stayed away from the typical autumn centerpieces and used a piece of driftwood and ferns...
The hydrangeas have turned these beautiful shades of purple, green and brown...
There are plenty of acorns lying around for hungry squirrels this winter, so I borrowed a few for my hurricane.
And don't forget the paisley...the napkins were made from fabric from "Vertigo," which is a local decor and fabric shop. I also added a touch of green with the Fostoria "Argus" green iced tea glasses...
I will be linking up to Susan's "Tablescape Thursday" over at "Between Naps on the Porch." Be sure to stop by there and say hi!
Thanks so much for stopping by!! I really enjoy getting around to visit all of you too:-)

Tranquil tablescape made me smile- enjoyed seeing the beautiful natural setting of your property and the way you used natural elements from your yard. Good to see that your leaves have plenty of color- was dry here but still enjoying a colorful fall. Take care

ReplyDeleteI love seeing your posts each week on Tablescape Thursday! I love the warm colors you use, the "atmosphere" of your blog, the music is great! The name of your blog speaks volumes! I have just finished memorizing Prov. 31:10-31 this week to be recited with the teenage girls class I help teach on Sunday! The virtuous woman described in Proverbs is quite the woman, and from the looks of your home, so are you! :-)
ReplyDeleteI "liked" Mikasa on Facebook. Thanks for the opportunity to win a shiny new set of flatware! :-)

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful, Anita! I love the way you've incorporated the colors, shapes, and textures of autumn throughout your centerpiece and place settings. It looks completely natural, yet it's polished and very sophisticated. I always enjoy seeing the vintage Fostoria mingled with your beautiful, newer Mikasa pieces.
ReplyDeleteRegards,
Bill
WOW! Your tablescape is stunning! Setting it up outside so that you also get to see the beautiful fall colors is perfect. I could sit out there all day. (And night!) Thanks for sharing your decorative touch with all of us!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely wonderful! Gorgeous table and setting!

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! Love the nature of it and the colors are amazing. It just makes you wish you were there sitting at that table enjoying the view (of coarse, the drinks and food..LOL) Thanks for sharing your talent!
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous setting. Those blazing trees must be the reason for the warm amber light over your corner. I like your use of the green fern, it really pops out and complements the warmer color, plus mimics the greener trees in the background.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful table in a beautiful setting! I realy love that centerpiece!
ReplyDeleteYou are so clever with your table outside on the deck with the falling leaves. Everything looks so natural and colorful. It's a beautiful setting
ReplyDeleteGosh Anita, these pictures are so pretty!!!!

ReplyDeleteThank you for coming by my friend!
Terry
PS stop by and see "Gifts from the Sea" tablescape on my blog I did at the beach house (3 posts' ago). Now THAT was truly the work of God when you see that sunset!
I just love coming back on your deck and seing all your beautiful trees, Anita. It's so breathtaking!...Christine
ReplyDeleteYour outdoor setting is so beautiful and your tablescape is the perfect compliment! Thanks for your sweet visit last week -- I'm terribly behind in getting around.
ReplyDeleteAnita, I gasped at your first picture, honest! What a G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S setting for dinner for two!
ReplyDeleteOur squirrels would be up on the table, snitching those acorns. Last year, I gathered a box to send to Sarah (Hyacinths for the Soul) & had them waiting to be sealed up & sent to TX. A chipmunk got in & ate EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM!!! LOL
Your matelasse fabric adds a wonderful texture & dimension & I'm in total love with your driftwood centerpiece. Awesome tablescape!!!
Oh Anita! A gorgeous backdrop and beautifully inspired table. I love that rock arrangement.
ReplyDeleteHi Anita!
ReplyDeleteThe woods around your house are amazing~ I love the acorns in the candle holder and all the other elements of autumn that are swirling around this table!
Sitting at there would bring me to a quiet praise of God for the beauty of His creation ♥
You are a good steward of it and a wonderful example of hospitality. Although we are not all there, present at your table, there is a sweet sense of invitation to "be there in spirit" as we all visit via the internet.
God bless you in all you do, I'm sure you are a gift to your community, Anita ~
*blessings always*
