Frozen...

Well, the little cottage is waterless as we woke up to frozen pipes somewhere between our well and the house:-) It was 0 degrees overnight. Thankfully, my parents are next door and we can get drinking water there. Thankfully, the electricity is still on, although the bill will probably be out of sight. I'm so thankful for the blessing of a warm house and reminded that there are some without that. So we can live without water while we try to figure out where the problem is. In the meantime, I'll be praying about it:-)

Hoping you are all warm and safe. Please, check on any elderly or others around you who might be in need right now. This weather is brutal, and you can make a difference for someone:-)

  2. That can be aggravating. Hope you all get the pipes fixed with the quickness.

It has been cold in southeast GA, too.

  3. Hopefully you only have frozen water not frozen pipes to repair. Does that make sense? It was 14 degrees here north of Atlanta and we woke to frozen water in one of the faucets. Even though we let it drip, it somehow wasn't enough. All was fixed within a few minutes with the blow dryer. Thanks for reminding us to check in on our elderly and those in need.

Oh, aren't we all cold?! It is 12 degrees here in Chicago.

I wish you luck with your pipes.

  6. Hi Anita, Will pray for you and concerns. Sorry to hear about trouble. For some reason we don't have hot water but heater is only year old! Gas company supposed to come out. Brutal temps here but no snow and ice like you.In our prayers, Emelia.

  7. I hope your water is restored quickly. Great reminder for everyone to check on the elderly and others. Even down here in Florida it is cold and there are homes without heat. I sent my son over to my elderly neighbor's house to check her pilot lights and make sure they were on because she is unable to light them herself.
