Rustic Easter wreath

I finally took down the evergreen and magnolia wreath that had been on the front porch since December and replaced it with one for spring.

I wanted only natural elements, so I brought back this rustic grapevine wreath I made last fall.

I almost threw it in the compost, but I'm so glad I didn't. Here is how it looked last fall.

What a beautiful reminder that spring is coming...

...and all the bare branches will once again come to life.

The promise of Easter:-)

  • Anita preciosa! You are so talented, I love your shrubbery work on the wreath and perfect for your porch. They are so charming, I love them all! You know, as soon as I saw the wreath, I thought: 'I'd like that on my front door!'
Thank you for your sweet wishes, amiguita! Nunca te pregunte de donde eres?...de Cuba? de Mexico? de donde? jejeje

  • I saw your comment on the Funky Junky “How to Build a Dream Job” posting and came up with an idea. I decided to visit each person who commented on that particular posting because we are all likely facing similar situations. If each of us do that for each other and then return regularly to the sites we especially like, we can help each other build up our readership. You can find these comments of the Funky Junk Interiors post here: http://www.funkyjunkinteriors.net/2014/02/how-to-build-a-dream-job-while-you-work-a-day-job.html.

For the record, Betsy Skagen of PaperCalliope.com came up with this fabulous idea and she would be eternally grateful if you would keep this credit in and more importantly, visit her blog at PaperCalliope.com.

If you want to participate in hopping to these blogs, just copy this text, visit the sites of the commenters, then paste the text and add your own signature and web site to the bottom. However, please be respectful and take the time to actually look around each person’s blog. Just like you, they put a lot of hard work into it. Have a creative day! P.S. While I like a lot of your photos, the photo of your Grandfather's store is simply stunning. Wow. Your blog is so much more "advanced" infant blog, that I may have to turn to you for advice :)

Your little rustic wreath looks lovely on the porch Anita. I am beyond excited that Spring is only 18 days away. The maples and Kwanzan cherry trees are already blooming here.

This really captures the "truly authentic American country style" you speak of in your header. It's so simple, yet so beautiful.
