Back porch living...

One place I really enjoy during the summer is our back porch. I really didn't change much from last year but it was sure nice to get it pressure washed and everything clean and back in its place.

It's such a nice, cool spot to enjoy a glass of iced raspberry-lemonade tea.

I did make a couple of Mason jar lanterns to hang up.

I also had to make another pillow for the back of the iron settee as "Super Dog" had ripped up the other one.

My mom cut some beautiful Mountain Laurel blooms for the table.

I'm not sure which I love most -- the morning sun here...

...or the afternoon sun.

Any time of day it's such a wonderful place to be and I thank God that I can share it with my wonderful husband and children:-)

I'll be joining:

  • Just beautiful and inviting!! Since I moved into a very small condo, we don't have any out door space. I sure miss a porch!! Enjoy your tea and rock on for me!!

How wonderful to have a covered porch! I would give all of my riches (ha!) for one! Having the deck exposed as it is just makes life more difficult than it has to be: dragging things in when inclimate weather is predicted, using unheard of amounts of sunscreen, dodging bird poop...not to mention the denial of additional decorating options! Your porch is beautiful, and I know you must truly enjoy and appreciate it every day!

Thanks for sharing, and gotta say...LOVE the pink!!!

  • Anita,
I can almost feel the gentle breezes blowing across your porch, dear one.
My favorite would be the afternoon sun spot.
    Fondly,
    Pat

Such a nice porch! Love all the pops of color. Me too, had to wait a while for all the pollen to fall so I could wash the porch down and get it set up for us to enjoy. One of our favorite spots Spring through Fall...love the porch!
    Blessings,
    Cindy
