Autumn photography

Fall is definitely the time Luis and I like to go out and shoot the changing landscape here in the mountains. You just never know what you're going to get and foggy mornings can make for some great shots.
We headed up the Blue Ridge Parkway early one morning last week, and I finally found an overlook cleared enough to get this sunrise shot over Waynesville. We could also hear something moving in the woods, so I made this a very quick stop!

Later in the week, we went up to the helicopter pad at the Balsam Mountain Preserve and not only was it freezing, but there was fog rolling in and things were changing quickly.

It was a beautiful sunset, though and worth the trip to get there!

We are really looking forward to the next few weeks as the leaves begin to change:-)

These were all shot with a Canon Rebel T3 with a Canon 20mm lens.
