Pink pillows and a modern print

My "pink for spring" theme is certainly coming along in the house. I love how simply changing a few things can make a big difference. I mentioned wanting to use the antique Chinese silk I inherited this spring again, but I wanted to play up the bold pink color instead of going with the softer shades I have in the past. I decided to add a modern/retro print in a large floral pattern, and oh how I love it:-)

After making pillow covers from some of the silk, I chose the Kaufmann "Mia" in Citrine, as an accent, and it is so fun and vibrant. I love how it really makes the pink pop, and also how the modern print works with all the old stuff vintage things I have.

My pink overdyed Turkish rug also came and everything together has made such a change in this room. It has really added a young and fun vibe, and we are enjoying that. I can't wait to share it.

Spring has sprung inside, but outside it's still cold and we are expecting 1"-3" tonight in the NC mountains. Even if it does snow, it won't be around long. The pear trees are trying to bud and my "Yellow Bells" are just about fully bloomed. I think most of us are ready for some blue skies and green leaves!
