Mid-century modern stool and mongolian fur

I found the most awesome tufted mid-century modern stool on ebay a few months back.

I was actually looking for something in bad shape I could cover with fur.

But this one was so nice, I decided to leave it uncovered.

In the meantime, after a pretty lengthy online search, I found the perfect creamy shade of faux mongolian sheep fur on amazon. I bought one yard and intended to cover the stool and make a pillow, but I draped it over the white couch and liked it so much I decided to leave it to protect the white fabric, since that's where I hang out with the kids when we get the chance.

I wanted something there, but didn't want it to look so obviously like "I need to have a throw on this couch to protect it." You know what I mean?

I definitely think it gives the fancy French couch more of a lived in bohemian look and protects it at the same time.

That's kind of how I roll here. I envision one thing, then end up changing it. But that's what makes it fun and keeps things interesting:-)

Looks cozy and colorful! The legs on stool reminds me of some of my parents furniture in the 60s from our family pictures. Kathleen in Az

I love the fur! You can turn something that I would never, ever imagine and make it into something that I want in my living room right now! You are so, so talented :)

Your room is simply beautiful. I especially fell in love with your vignettes on the armoire, and the corner table. Also, the items framed above the table. The frames are so unique, and altho I can't make out what you have in them. (writings?) I really love the look. Actually, I love it all, the live plants, the American Indian basket, the books, the fur throw, and those gorgeous pillows! You certainly know how to put a room together. Tons of personality....
