Making Spring wreaths for an amazing house

I had the opportunity to make Spring wreaths for the *most* amazing house of friends at Balsam Mountain Preserve.

Since this house is nestled on the side of a mountain in a pristine nature preserve, I wanted these wreaths to look natural and rustic.

Grapevines are plentiful here, so I started with a grapevine wreath, then layered moss, greenery and a few accents in yellow and blue. I really worked to find the most natural looking stems I could find here that would hold up in the wind and harsh elements these mountains deliver.

I love how they look in this gorgeous setting.

Couldn't you just move right in?

I definitely could.

These glass doors needed a larger scale, so I used larger grapevine bases and added a few more elements to make them really stand out.

What a great opportunity to work on something for this amazing home:-)

Wow, the wreaths are gorgeous, Anita! As a floral designer I wish I could get some jobs like this. I used to have many clients, decorated homes for Christmas, made things for restaurants etc. but the place where I worked closed. I really miss it. Now I am going to go see this amazing home!

    1. Wow, that means so much to me coming from you!! Thank you:-) I am hoping to get some more. What I did in the fall there kind of fizzled out, but I'm hoping to pick up some more and at least build my portfolio. Yes, the home is amazing!!
