Welcome to my front porch!
We spruced things up a little earlier this year and have been enjoying the beautiful weather here in the mountains.
I decided to add some hanging ferns this year after going without for several years. I love the soft look and am really enjoying having them here again.
If you remember last year, we had a termite issue in the wood rockers here so I literally burned them and moved the iron settee out here.
I made the back pillow covers from a vintage sari, and the bottom seat cushions I covered with an outdoor floral fabric I bought years ago. I made all the throw pillows as well.
Of course the vintage sign that hung on the old garage here is still a favorite in this spot. I made the wreath years ago out of our grapevines.
We've had to fight the pollen, but my weapon is just using a blower to clean everything off. It's definitely better than trying to sweep anything.
It's beautiful at night as well, as we saw our first "lightening bugs" this weekend. I hear that city people call them fireflies😀
It's all a huge amount of work, but we sure do enjoy these beautiful mountain summers and are looking forward to a lot of porch sitting😊
Thanks for stopping by!

DeleteI don't think I would ever get anything accomplished above sitting on this lovely porch and soaking up God's beautiful world! So peaceful and restful and I do like ferns on my porch even though they block the view in spots. I just move the rocker!
ReplyDeleteThanks Carolyn!! I'm loving them again for sure!
