After the summer home tour, I really just felt like I needed a change. I had already taken up the Karabakh kilim and had been using only the jute rug, which, as bland as it is, was kind of like a palate cleanser.
Then I really knew I wanted to get my Turkish yahyali rugs out for the coming season, and that meant some other changes since the main colors are red and blue.
They were stored at a friend's house, so in the meantime I decided to use the cream overdyed rug I had in the music room.
And I loved it.
This rug is neutral, obviously, but the pattern is still bold enough to add some texture and interest.
I changed out some of the accessories with things I had here, and pillow covers as well, and I am loving this look.
My plan is actually to move this rug to underneath the dining table but I'm waiting on a rug pad, so for now, it is here.
It's amazing the difference a little change can make:-)

DeleteYour room is so colorful and amazing, my eye doesn't have time to look at the rug. :>) Your collection of pillows and accents is warm and inviting and look wonderful regardless of whatever rug may be on the floor.
