"Vintage" houseplants and a planter makeover

I love houseplants -- real ones, and I have noticed that different varieties seem to go in and out of "style" over the years. I still love my ivy, from the Christopher Lowell Show 1990s, and have finally figured out how to keep it alive, but I wanted to add something a little more retro and found a larger leaf variety of Schefflera I wanted to try in the corner behind my couch.

CanvasPop review

I got an email several weeks ago from a company called CanvasPop about reviewing a canvas, and I jumped on the opportunity. The hardest part was choosing a photo to print.

Setting the Easter table

When we finally get to sit down to Easter "dinner" at our house, it will be after months planning and  intense musical rehearsals, which will have culminated in a 1 1/2 hour long celebration service at our church. We will be exhilarated and exhausted at the same time, so as much as I want our lunch to be special, it also needs to be simple. I really wanted to do something "fancy," but I kept leaning toward simple, and that's what I went with.
