Romantic Homes Magazine Christmas feature!

About a year and a half ago, I got an email from the editor of Romantic Homes asking if I would write a story to go with some photos they had seen, and if I would also write and shoot a Christmas feature for 2016. After I recovered from passing out, I went ahead and started planning, without telling anyone because I was petrified something would go wrong, or they wouldn't like what I did.

Since this was an exclusive, I could not share these photos, so I basically designed Christmas twice. My family had to live with it all until we got snow in late January, then I wanted to make sure everything was good so we *enjoyed* it all for another month. I can't tell you how much fresh greenery I cut trying to keep it all alive. But it was worth it.

I have a story and photos in the December issue of Romantic Homes, and funny enough, the cover also features pink.

These are just a couple of peeks, but the magazine is on news stands now.
I am so incredibly thankful to Staci and the staff at Romantic Homes and beside myself to have the opportunity to, hopefully, inspire you to use what you have, blending old and new for a unique and personal Christmas.

This year has been a dream come true for me, and I am truly thankful.

I'm very happy for you and thank goodness your family was supportive too, that was challenging to keep it fresh.

  • You have had quite a year - and are no doubt becoming a celebrity in your area. Your home is beautiful, warm and inviting and deserves all the accolades you have received. I'm sure your family is proud, regardless of having to live with Christmas for so long. :)

    1. Well, it's been a little crazy especially considering my low budget and small house:-) I'm so thankful!

  • Super huge congratulations!!! Beautiful! If I thought my husband could survive the shock of it, I'd go pink in several rooms for fun. But, alas and alack, it is not to be. I guess I'll keep the pink confined to my dressing room! Very well done!
