I finally took down the evergreen and magnolia wreath that had been on the front porch since December and replaced it with one for spring.

Random Saturday
My 11 year old had a birthday sleepover last night, and, since I cleaned yesterday, it was nice to wake up to a clean house this morning.

The easy way to get a chandelier where you want it...
I have always loved sparkly chandeliers, but never had one until last year when I sold the fixture I had to buy the one now hanging over my grand piano. I have since added several more in the kitchen and living room.

Canon 5D Mark II...oh how I love you:-)
The more I am drawn to the nitty gritty details of photography, the more I wanted to try out a Canon 5D Mark II, full frame camera. I am lucky enough to have a talented neighbor, Regina Holder, who just happens to be a professional photographer, and who was gracious enough to let me borrow her Canon 5D Mark II:-)

Shelf styling, snow and photographers
One thing I do not regret is taking out a hanging cabinet in the kitchen when we made the wormy chestnut countertops.

Listening to the radio...
Everybody knows I have a big thing for vintage...everything --from art, furniture, books, silver and Christmas decor all the way to electronics and old calendars. My heart skipped a beat when I ran across this vintage radio while casually strolling through a local indoor flea market.

Watermarking photos and responding to criticism...
I started blogging over four years ago because I wanted to learn the art of tablescaping. I had been posting photos of my home and decor at HGTV's Rate My Space and really had gotten tired of the mean and nasty comments people would routinely leave, not just for me but for others as well. Blogging seemed to be such an encouraging and positive community. And it has been.
