My mother recently styled a bride's table for 12 at a wedding in Tennessee. She did such a fabulous job, I wanted to share! She pooled things from both of our collections and chose the 1921 Noritake "Condoro" porcelain on vintage Irish linen placemats, vintage lace napkins and Durand Cristal D'Arques "Longchamp" crystal glassware.

Making a unique burlap runner...
I am always trying different things...my dad and husband say I stay awake at night thinking of new projects. And they are right. I really do.

Sunday Dinner
We always have Sunday "dinner" either with my parents or at our house. I admit-- it takes effort because as a worship leader, Sunday is also a work day and mornings can get really hectic...especially trying to get three children up and ready to go:-)

Homemade chicken tenders
I have a 7-year-old boy who is a *very* picky eater. VERY picky.
He loves chicken tenders, nuggets, strips. I know.
I finally just made my own at home thinking I would put them in the freezer for later, but they never made it to the freezer. Really, they were so good we ate them all! You can modify whatever ingredient you need to...I would have used bread crumbs from my mom's homemade bread, but we never have any left for crumbs, lol. For a low-carb version, I replace the crumbs with dry parmesan cheese. Also, the seasonings can be adjusted to taste, and I find every oven is different, so you can adjust that as well.

Inspiration from the past...
We have been taking advantage of the many wonderful places to visit here in the Smoky Mountains while the children are out of school.

Updating vintage art
These are a couple of my favorite vintage prints from Florida. I have loved them for years and had them in the master bedroom before they ended up in the dining room. But I *really* wanted to use them in the hall bath and the red on the bottom print just didn't work anymore.

How to make the *best* homemade Southern biscuits...
Join me in the kitchen as my mom comes by and shows me how to make her incredible biscuits!
This is an HD video, so be sure to click on the gear icon and change it to highest quality in case your computer defaults to a lower setting.
You might want to have fresh strawberry jam ready at the end:-)
Thanks for stopping by:-)
