Fall is coming...

I know everyone is looking forward to fall...especially those where it has been so hot this summer. I thought I would share some fall photos from right here in Balsam, North Carolina and the Blue Ridge Parkway where the season is so beautiful. These are all photos I have taken over the last few years. We will not actually see color until October.

Starting with our driveway...

Are you ready for cooler weather??

Anita, what beautiful fall decor you have!! Hubby and I came to Asheville back in May, and drove along the Blue Ridge Parkway. It was just stunning! I can only imagine how beautiful the colors must be, at their peak, in the fall! Your photos are beautiful!!

  5. I've been to North Carolina in the fall and it was spectacular! Your property is lovely, and dressed in it's fall colors even more so. I'm so ready for fall, ready for the garden to go to sleep and cooler weather to move in.

  7. You live in the PERFECT location to enjoy the Fall season! Your pictures are just beautiful and it must be so nice to live in the woods like that among all those trees. Your front porch is decorated so nice for the Fall. Are those last year's pics?

  8. OHMYGOSH, Anita. Those pictures make me homesick for the homestead of my youth. I LOVE your driveway and the mountains around you. I didn't grow up in a lovely modern house like yours but the "feeling" was the same as the one I get here. What a blessing to be able to live right there with your family- xo Diana

  11. Hi Anita,

Oh how I love your photos!! You've captured the light so beautifully! Yes, we are looking forward to fall at our house; it's our favorite time of the year. We always drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway two or three times in autumn to see the leaves.

Thanks for your visit; I'm glad you enjoyed the pics of Hendersonville. I'm really hoping to go back sometime this month to get some apples. My in-laws go every September. You do live in a lovely part of North Carolina; we live in the Piedmont, near Winston-Salem. We're NC natives and love our state. :)

    Have a wonderful holiday weekend!

It's so pretty to see those leaves changing already up your way. Ours are just slightly starting to show some changes but not much. I love the beautiful colors all around your home and especially those scenic mountain views. Just lovely!
